Welcome to the Video page for Southwest Florida College's Distance Education Program. The navigational links on the left and at the top of this page will provide you with the resources you will need to begin your online experience. In addition to a Video Orientation Tutorial, which can help walk you through the basic components of all online courses at SWFC, there are also video tutorials for academic policies, accessing Noodle Tools, and the L.I.R.N. sites.

Videos for Online Orientation

Before you begin taking an online course at Southwest Florida College, you are required to complete the following Orientation Videos. We have broken the videos down into two individual links for more ease in streaming as well as for students who may need a refresher on certain areas of online functionality. If you are using the training site as a new student, you will need to watch both videos to familiarize yourself with all aspects of the SWFC learning environment. Please note that the technical training video has a built-in quiz to test your knowledge:

Listed below are the videos, in order, that will walk you through accessing your online courses on the college's LMS (Learning Management System), and address policies and procedures once you are in the course(s).

  1. Access the Online Technical Training video here. This link will guide you through the technical aspects of the online campus.
  2. Access the Policy Overview video here. This link will provide a brief overview of the policies and procedures for online learning at SWFC.

Directions: Make sure to save this form to your desktop, fill it out, and then submit the form using your email service provider to sfountain@swfc.edu. You can also print a copy for your records.

Note: All materials required to complete the Confirmation Form can be found on the Printables page. You can access these by clicking the tab at the top of the screen.
